Terms of Service

1. Overview

Account Map ("the App") is a HubSpot application currently in private beta, operated by Redcoded Limited, a company registered in New Zealand ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using Account Map, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Description of the Service

Account Map runs as a CRM card and tab on HubSpot company records. It visualizes organizational charts, buying roles, engagement activity across channels, and influence connections within an account's contact network. The App is designed to help sales teams understand account structure and engagement at a glance.

3. Eligibility and Authority

By installing Account Map, you represent that you have the authority to install applications on the HubSpot portal in question and to grant the required OAuth scopes. If you are installing on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the necessary authorization to bind that organization to these terms.

4. Authentication and OAuth Scopes

Account Map authenticates via HubSpot OAuth 2.0 and requests the following scopes:

• crm.objects.companies.read
• crm.objects.contacts.read
• crm.objects.contacts.write
• crm.schemas.contacts.read
• crm.schemas.contacts.write
• sales-email-read
• crm.objects.owners.read

These scopes are required for the App to function. You may revoke access at any time by uninstalling the App from your HubSpot portal.

5. Data Read from HubSpot

The App reads the following data from your HubSpot portal:

• Contact names, job titles, and email addresses
• Company associations
• Engagement records, including emails, calls, and meetings
• Owner and sales representative information

This data is used solely to render visualizations within the App and is not transmitted to any external service beyond what is described in Section 7.

6. Data Written to HubSpot

Account Map creates and updates the following custom contact properties in your HubSpot portal:

• buying_role — the contact's role in the buying committee
• reports_to — the contact's reporting relationship
• influence_connections — mapped influence relationships between contacts

These properties are written directly to your HubSpot CRM and remain under your control.

7. Data Storage and Security

OAuth access tokens are stored in Upstash Redis, encrypted at rest, and keyed by your HubSpot portal ID. These tokens are used exclusively to authenticate API requests on your behalf.

No other data from your HubSpot portal is stored outside of HubSpot. The App does not maintain a separate database of your CRM data.

8. Private Beta

Account Map is currently in private beta. The service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. Features, functionality, and availability may change without notice. We may discontinue the service or any part of it at any time during the beta period.

9. No Warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Account Map is provided without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Redcoded Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.

11. Termination

You may stop using Account Map at any time by uninstalling it from your HubSpot portal. Redcoded Limited reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
